We are frequently asked many questions. That's great ... we have some answers:
How do I become a Christian?
Repent: turn away from your sin to follow God?s new direction for your life. (Romans 3:23; Acts 3:19) Believe: Trust in Jesus Christ, God's only Son, for eternal life. (John 3:16) Confess: Acknowledge Jesus as the supreme authority over your life. (Romans 10:9, 13) Receive: Accept God?s free gift of salvation. (Romans 6:23; John 1:12)
How may I join?
By Baptism: When you have already personally committed your life to Jesus Christ, but have not yet been baptized by immersion as a public symbol of your faith. By Transfer of Letter: When you are a member of another Baptist church. By Statement: When you are a member of a church of like faith and practice, and have been baptized by immersion as a public symbol of your faith.
May I join a Bible study class without joining the church?
Of course! Though this is not church membership, it is an excellent way to get to know the FBCG folks and to learn more about the Bible and God's plan for you. Greeters are waiting to assist you in locating appropriate classes for you and your family.
When do I join?
At the close of the worship service as the song of response is being sung, walk up to one of the ministers and tell them of your decision. They will meet with you to help you understand your decision, answer any questions, pray with you, and secure the information necessary for our records. Usually, this takes just a few minutes.
I still have some questions!
This is not unusual. You are dealing with the most important decision of your life ... what you will do with Jesus! You are more than welcome to call any of our ministers at 452.5715, or place the attached welcome form in the offering plate and one of our ministers will contact you.
Where can my children participate?
Preschoolers will have Sunday School during all three periods. Each period will have a different group of teachers and they will be doing different activities that center around one Bible story. Even though the Bible story will be the same, the children will learn through repetition.
Sunday School classes are at 9:45am for first through fifth grade. At 8:30 and 11:00am grades first through third are invited to attend Children's Church. The Children are dismissed from Main Worship and The Cafe during the offering time. Parents need to pick up their children after the service.
